Two weeks holiday from the UK turned into 4 weeks

by Tracy

My partner, Dean, and I went to Seattle to visit family for two weeks. On the second day we were there, Dean had a seizure and at the hospital they found a tumor. Our world had been turned upside down within 40 minutes. But, thanks to the team at the Swedish Medical Center (Cherry Hill), they removed 99% of the tumor. It came back as a grade 1; we were the lucky ones. We flew back to the UK two weeks after surgery, and we will be here until we go to a neuro consultation in Oxford. We have more treatment ahead. We hope to do lots of charity work for this horrific desiese, and plan to return to Seattle next July for our honeymoon. Hopefully with a nice "check" for brain cancer.
