When I had my grand mal seizure and was diagnosed with my oligoastrocytoma, the size of a peach in my right frontal temporal lobe, I thought life was never going to be the same. After neurosurgical resection, chemotherapy, and proton beam radiation, my wife had a nervous breakdown, which put her into rehab and eventually cost us our marriage. It wasn't the same, but it was what I like to call "the new normal." Life goes on, you live and dream and get up every day and carry on. The new normal becomes just plain old normal and life resumes. I feel great and am healthy and happy. Keep the faith!
