Ten Years and Five Tumors Strong

by Tiffany

NBTS Story Corner: TiffanyOver the last ten years I have been diagnosed with five hemangiopericytoma tumors. I have had one craniotomy and three Gamma Knife surgeries. Since my first surgery I have hiked to the top of Mt. Whitney and Half Dome, gone white water rafting and hang gliding, learned to rock climb and ride a motorcycle, got married, and had a beautiful son that I never thought I could have. During all of this I have had the honor to meet and know some real fighters, who may have lost their battle, but have helped give me the strength to get up and live each day! I have recently been informed that two of the tumors that have been treated in the past are growing, and I may end up having those treated again with Gamma Knife. I am not sure what the future has in store for me, but at least I know I will not give up!
