Hi- This is the first time I have posted publicly about my story and my tumor.
I don't know where to start...In 1992 I was diagnosed with an astrocytoma class 5.
Viví 38 años de mi vida sin ningún problema, claro, los estaba juntando para tener uno bien grande.
My son, Michael, was diagnosed at age 13 with an astrocytoma (brain tumor). He suddenly got ill on June 12, 2004. His tumor ruptured while he slept.
We believe I was born with a brain tumor, but the symptoms didn't start until 1988 when I was 5 years old.
I'm 14 years old. I found out about three months ago that I had a brain tumor on the left side of the cerebellum.
I learned I had to take matters into my own hands and get all the information I could about tumors.
Was it easy?....Heck no! I was tired, sick to my stomach, and down right scared. I was also angry....very angry. I had to believe, believe that this could work, and that I would live.
My daughter Brittney is a brain tumor survivor.
Although mine has been a hard life I'd say, it's been a very happy one!
My name is Laura Hartley and on June 12, 2004 our lives changed forever.
