NBTS Experts Featured on "Frankly Speaking about Cancer" broadcast
Mary Lovely, RN, PhD, Medical Information Specialist and Harriet Patterson, MPH, Director of Patient Services at National Brain Tumor Society were the featured speakers on a recent program of the Wellness Community's award-winning internet radio program, "Frankly Speaking about Cancer" heard on www.VoiceAmerica.com. This special "Brain Tumor" program, dedicated to the memory of Sen. Ted Kennedy, focused on helping patients to become informed and live well with brain cancer.
The Wellness Community, which recently merged with Gilda's Club, is the largest provider of cancer psychosocial support services in the world, and has a long history of collaboration with the National Brain Tumor Society in helping meet the needs of brain tumor patients.
