The Race for Hope DC - Presented by Cassidy Turley was started by a group of dedicated volunteers committed to making a difference in the lives of brain tumor patients, survivors and their families. Race proceeds benefit the research and patient services programs of Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure and the National Brain Tumor Society. In 2010, over 10,000 runners, walkers, volunteers, and sponsors participated in the 13th Annual Race for Hope - Washington, DC. Through generous gifts from individuals and company sponsorships, the Race for Hope - DC has raised more than $11 million in its history, including $2.3 million in 2011, and grows each year.
