The second annual Bob Bard 5K will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the National Brain Tumor Society to prevent brain tumors, and find a cure for brain cancer. The race start and finish area is located in the upper pavilion area of Memorial Park at 299 Park Avenue, Quarryville, PA 17566. Registration is from 7:30 to 8:45 AM, and the race begins at 9:00 AM. This event will be held rain or shine.

Bob Bard was born and raised in Quarryville, PA. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, and friend to many in the community. In January 2010, Bob was diagnosed with a stage IV Glioblastoma. Bob lived everyday to the fullest during his last year on earth, but went on to be with the Lord January 15, 2011. Bob never complained during the year he fought the cancer. Many nicknamed him ‘Superman’ for that very reason.
