I am an assistant professor of medicine at University of California, Los Angeles. My research interest is to study the biology and treatment of brain cancer. My research in glioblastoma stem cells was developed and extended from my Ph.D. thesis and short-tem post-doctoral work, which focused on the analysis and evaluation of the gene expression profiles between primary and secondary glioblastoma.

Martin Klein is associate professor in neuropsychology of the VU University Medical Center Department of Medical Psychology, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His research, in close cooperation with the departments of neurology, neurosurgery, and radiation oncology, initially focused on determining the neurocognitive functioning and health-related quality of life of patients with primary brain tumors.

My long term career goal is to establish myself as a brain tumor researcher. I would like to pursue this goal at a university hospital since this kind of academic institution can provide important collaborations as well as a bridge between research and its clinical applications. My main research interests are brain tumor biology and translational research.
