"Our mother’s legacy is so much more than a brain tumor, and we remember that through our actions."
After surviving 14 months, bouts of dysentery, parasites, poisonings, gunpoint negotiations and more than 16,000 miles on the road, Spinning Southward arrived at their destination. Brothers John and Mike, along with filmmaker Nate Ajello, rode into Ushuaia, Argentina, stepped off their bicycles, and took a deep breath. The journey, a tribute to their mother Jean, who died of brain cancer, was their way of rewriting that loss. Their work raised awareness in 13 countries and raised thousands of dollars for research.
